Lagoon Saddle Hut | Craigieburn Forest Park
Lagoon Saddle Hut is one of two structures in close proximity, not exactly sure why two shelters are needed. The hut is not quite so easy to find, you have to cross the creek and clamber up the hill.
DOC defines it as “basic”, and you’d have to agree. It’s a windowless large garden shed with a couple of mattress-less bunks and a small bench. Not an enormous amount of amenities, but then again, if the weather is inclement, it might just be a lifesaver.
